How we can help you
We have the capabilities and experience to provide you with cost effective, practical solutions. We are efficient and will carry out our work on time and within budget. Download our "capability statement" for a complete overview of what we can do for you.
Mining Environmental
Has your budget been slashed again this year? Perhaps you are struggling to complete the Annual Aquifer Reviews or Operating Strategies. Have you received a "Request for further information" from the DoW or DER. Perhaps you noticed waterlogged areas next to the tailings dam or waste rock dumps.
Contact us to stay on top of your workload. Make sure that you address questions from the regulators comprehensively - don't risk your operating licence. Deal with water related problems early before they get out of hand.
Consulting Companies

You are trying to land "the big project" but you are a bit "light on" on your water capabilities or perhaps your hydrogeologists are tied up with other projects.
Contact us and use our people to beef up your "project team". We will act on your behalf during the course of the project. Our people worked for big consultancies and we are trained in HSE, project management and we can work in teams as part of integrated studies.
Mine Planning (Hydro)
The mine manager is giving you grief because the pit floor is wet. You noticed some stability problems on one of the pit slopes and wonder whether more effective depressurisation could improve the situation. You will start below the water table (BWT) mining and the dewatering system is not in place.
Contact us for an assessment of your current dewatering strategy and how the situation can be improved. Let us install some vibrating wire piezometers to see if pore pressures in the pit slope may contribute to slope stability issues. Be prepared for BWT mining - you need to be well ahead of the game.
Mine Closure

You discovered that your mine wastes will contain acid forming materials. How will you demonstrate to the regulators that you adequately dealt with it at closure? Your operations will leave an open pit after closure and it will fill up with water. What is the long term quality of this water and will it affect the environment?
It is best to deal with these issues early. Contact us to find out whether store-and-release cover systems will work for your mine wastes. We can simulate the filling of the pit lake at closure and together with professional geochemists, we will be able to assist you with the closure of mine pits.
Civil Projects
Do you know the dewatering requirements for your excavation and are you prepared for it? Do you know whether the groundwater level might rise into your basement or the subbase of the road? Are your Acid Sulphate Soil and Dewatering Management Plans in place? How are you going to dispose of the pumped groundwater?
Contact us to look after your dewatering requirements, including making sure you have all the licences in place. Don't risk delays on your projects.
Review and Due Diligence
You got a proposal from another consultant and think the work and cost might be over the top. Perhaps you got a report and the recommendations have far reaching financial implications. You may be a financial institution and want to know what your risks are in lending a mining company money.
Contact us to get a second opinion. Our staff has carried out high level reviews before and we have a thorough understanding of the "big picture" water related issues.
